Commissioning a piece is a simple process offering the highest level of unique personalization. Commissions make superb gifts or family treasures for year to come. I am happy to answer any questions you many have, many of the most common are below.

Commissioning a painting

How does the commission process work?

I work predominantly from high resolution photos provided by clients. The quality of the images will greatly impact the final portrait quality & supplied images should be at least 1MB in size, with additional close-ups required for detail. If we determine you do not have the best photographs, I can certainly come and take them for a fee including distance traveled.

Design

I will discuss your your ideas and preferences before finalizing the best design, size and background.

Progress

You will receive regular e-mailed images of your work in progress, and your feedback is important throughout this process.

Payment

A 50% deposit is required to begin a painting, and I will send you an invoice via PayPal or you can give me your credit card information securely by phoning me. Final payment is made when you are completely satisfied.

Shipping

Shipping is worldwide. Please discuss this with me as prices vary hugely depending on the size of piece you choose and its destination. Shipping costs are calculated separately and are paid by the client.

How much is a commission of an original oil painting?

Prices are according to size and complexity of the piece, whether you want me to take reference photos or you provide.  Talk to me about what you would like me to paint for you.  I love to paint, and aim to please.

If you have any questions about the process, or if you would like to enquire about commissioning a piece, for yourself or for that special someone's big event, please contact me via the link below. Getting in touch sooner rather than later is advisable!

I always have a few paintings on the lineup, but if you need something quickly I will work to make that happen.

Thank you and may God bless you,
